Reiki Energy Healing

  

Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing modality that is simple and natural

and improves the flow of life force energy.

    

During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner will gently scan the body and unbind energy to allow for a smoother and more unified energetic flow.  The Reiki practitioner provides a light hands-on touch or hands above the body process where universal life energy is transferred to the client.  A Reiki session will reduce your stress, strengthen your immune system, increase your energy, and create a deeper sense of peace and well-being.

What should I expect?
During a Reiki session a recipient may experience a wide range of sensations such as gentle tingling, heat, or cold, or they may have visual sensations, or may feel nothing. Every Reiki session is unique, addressing your specific questions and concerns.
  Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands on the body or hovering above the body. 

What does Reiki feel like?
Clients experience a wide range of feelings during their session.  Reiki tends to feel warm and wonderfully relaxing.  Some people describe a lightness, tingling, or energetic shift, and some see colors, shapes, lights, memories, or visions during the session.  Some experience emotional release, both negative and positive, and others simply relax and fall asleep. In addition, many people feel an amazing glowing energy moving through them and surrounding them.  Reiki energy encourages recipients to let go of all tension, anxiety, fear and other negative feelings, moving into a state of peace and well-being.  Each treatment can be completely different and changes as you change.  There is no expected experience; Reiki is unique for each individual who receives it.  

 


How many Reiki treatments do I need for optimum health?
The number of treatments needed will vary depending on each individual's state of being; private consultation will help determine session frequency.  Generally, those suffering from chronic pain or severe health issues will most likely need more frequent or regular treatments (once a week or more) than more healthy individuals. 

Reiki is also recommended for relatively healthy people in order to maintain an optimal state of well-being (once every two weeks or once a month is ideal).

However, the frequency is up to each individual and what feels right to them.

What are the 5 Reiki Principles and why are they important? 
Just for today, I do not anger: Anger causes very serious, detrimental energy blocks.  Reiki is an excellent tool to remove anger blockages that have occurred in body over the years.  Letting go of anger brings peace to the mind and heart.  

Just for today, I do not worry:  Worry is a negative emotion that causes immense stress and blockages in the body.  This causes depletion of energy often leading to dis-ease and fatigue.  Letting go of worry brings healing  and harmony to the body.  

Just for today, I am grateful:  Being grateful is the one of the strongest forces of good energy.  Living in a state of gratitude can help transform negative attitudes and thoughts into positive ones.  Being grateful brings joy and lightness to the soul.  

Just for today, I work hard and honestly:  The day should be filled with an effort to work hard and honestly at all we do.  Working honestly brings abundance and integrity to our whole being.

Just for today, I am kind to every living thing:  Honor all living things and be tolerant of the way others choose to live their lives.  It is important to remember that being kind and honoring all living things includes honoring ourselves.  Honor and kindness brings love and acceptance to our lives. 
 


Is Reiki safe?
Yes, this ancient Japanese healing art is a familiar and accepted treatment in the west today.  Reiki is a safe, gentle and non-invasive treatment and is not aligned with a specific religion. This holistic treatment promotes and stimulates the body’s own healing system, similar to when you have an injury and your body goes into action to heal the skin, or mend a broken bone.
A Reiki practitioner does not manipulate, diagnose, nor prescribe medication. The energy that flows from a Reiki practitioner's hands always works towards the highest good of both the recipient and the practitioner.  It is therefore completely safe and can be used to enhance any other medical or alternative therapy. 

How does distance healing work?
Since Reiki transcends time and space, distance healing can be given to anyone at any location at any time. 
Similiar to a hands-on session, recipients may feel heat, cold or tingling.  The recipient can just relax and let the energies flow where they are most needed, as they will re-balance the system and remove any blockages.
